CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION WITH A VARIATOR

Copyright This invention can be used as an electric vehicle transmission. To implement the invention, the variant is used where the secondary shaft of the variator is connected to the planetary transmission driver. To do this, two clutches (clutch packs) are installed. The first clutch brakes the secondary shaft of the variator, the second one disconnects the primary shaft of the variator. The transmission thus has two modes of operation: 1. The primary shaft of the variator is disconnected, and the secondary shaft of the variator is braked. In this mode, the transmission operates at electric motor speeds from zero to nominal. I.e., the movement of an electric vehicle in the city is realized. 2. The primary shaft of the variator is connected, and the secondary shaft of the variator is disinhibited. In this mode, the transmission operates at the rated speed of the electric motor, i.e. the movement of the electric vehicle at high speeds is realized. When using this transmission, you can use a cheaper electric motor and a smaller battery capacity. The presented continuously variable transmission allows you to transmit more torque compared to existing continuously variable transmissions. I am selling the right to obtain a European patent and a US patent.
