Prior to that, Brian earned an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis where he focused in International Business, Corporate Finance, and Management. He frequently advises clients in complex transactions such as cross border licensing, software development agreements, research/development agreements, and patent monetization.
Brian previously worked as Director of Intellectual Property/Licensing for Sanmina-SCI in San Jose, where he directed patent prosecution, intellectual property licensing and complex intellectual property transactions. Prior to that, Brian worked for Townsend and Townsend and Crew, Walnut Creek, where he served in the EE/CS practice group for an awesome partner, Jerry Gray!, learning the basics of patent prosecution and litigation support, the Townsend way. Mr. Matlock began his career at Cornerstone Law Group/San Francisco, representing clients in intellectual property litigation, patent prosecution and corporate transactions.

At Sanmina, Matlock actively enforced a significant portfolio of over 400 patents, directed corporate patent prosecution, and prepared supporting intellectual property analysis documents for various litigation matters. Prior to that, Brian was an associate attorney at Townsend and Townsend and Crew, Walnut Creek, where he served in the EE/CS practice group for an awesome partner, Jerry Gray! Mr. Matlock began his patent law practice at Cornerstone Law Group in San Francisco where he represented clients in intellectual property litigation, patent prosecution and corporate transactions.
