I am a consultant specializing in two distinct but sometimes overlapping areas - Intellectual Property and Quality Management, as well as a provider of technical writing and editing services.
I am the Quality Management System Lead for SayleGroup, providing quality management (ISO 9001) and risk management consulting in conjunction with the SayleGroup team for a wide variety of industrial and technical clients. I provide similar services independently through my own consulting business, Scribe Select, including more general technical writing and editing services.
I am also a registered US Patent Agent providing intellectual property research and writing services, including patent landscape work, and have an association with a Canadian Patent Agent, Mario Theriault, of Patentway.com. Scribe Select is a small business with expertise in technical writing and editing, intellectual property management, patent-related research and also quality management. Specialization in industrial, scientific, technical and academic fields, most notably in biotech and life sciences. Scribe Select offers a wealth of experience in US intellectual property law and patent landscape searches. Recent projects have included patent searches and patent drafting for various start-up companies in life science fields, writing and research for the Nova Scotia Commission on Building our New Economy, ISO 9001 Quality Manual development for small to medium-sized enterprises, risk assessment documentation and development, grant proposal writing, and thesis editing. Scribe Select also offers professional resume preparation services and freelance-based writing and editing on a project basis.

Drafting, prosecuting plant biotechnology patent applications. FTO analysis, patent landscape analysis. Maintained a docket of over 700 cases, both US and foreign.
BASF Canada, Communications Manager
Managed and implemented all communications tactics emerging from sales and marketing plans, along with advertising agency and fulfillment. Developed annual communications plans in consultation with product managers. Identified market trends, product opportunities and customer needs, and provided follow-up recommendations.
Quarry Integrated Communications, Client Group Assistant
Worked closely on communications and advertising campaigns with a variety of clients, primarily in the agricultural and scientific sectors, including BASF Canada. Established excellent project management skills, coordinated projects from conception to final production stages, accustomed to handling well over 100 projects at any given time.
