A multilingual American with work experience in China, Europe, and the Americas. In my current role I assist investment promotion agencies with investment promotion and facilitation and advise on the legislative and institutional framework on investment, investment promotion strategies (including green FDI), investor targeting, and practices and techniques to facilitate and promote foreign direct investment. Over the past several years, I have conduct analytical and legal research on the nature, role, and impact of national policies on foreign investment and covered a range of international economic and science and technology issues with a focus on emerging markets and developing countries, particularly issues involving information and communication technologies, Internet governance, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
Previously, I was based in Beijing and traveled extensively throughout China to connect Chinese companies and local governments with domestic and overseas capital and technology. I am passionate about capital markets, business, and economics, and have years of experience in business, government, and international organizations after graduating with honors in biochemistry, mathematics, and Spanish. Fluent in English (native language) and Spanish, conversant in Mandarin and French, and currently studying Arabic. Familiar with a range of social media and data collection and analysis applications including SurveyMonkey, NETQ, Qualtrics, and SAP BusinessObjects. FINRA Series 7 and 63 registered in 2008.
