As a Managing Partner of Crestlight, a Silicon Valley-based Corporate Venture Capital & Innovation firm, Stayko manages activities in the Southeast US, leads the IP &Technology Practice globally and continually provides for the alignment of corporate venture goals of large companies with the innovation opportunities available while mitigating risk through a metered investment approach and proprietary methodologies for growth.
Stayko further chairs a global advisory firm experienced in addressing complex issues and tasks related to Strategy, Innovation and Intellectual Property assets. He also advises on public or private initiatives and projects around IP commercialization, Innovation programs or Strategic growth.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Staykov co-founded and served as the President and COO of an intellectual property management holding. In this capacity, he owned and managed an extensive portfolio of IP assets. Mr. Staykov has led successfully multiple complex contract and acquisition negotiations as well as monetization, licensing, litigation and settlement strategies. He has negotiated and executed transactions in the US, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Staykov has built a national reputation as an authority and expert in leadership development for leaders and entrepreneurs. He has taught Leadership Development curriculum and has also served as the featured lecturer at statewide and national forums, leadership retreats and roundtables across the U.S. and internationally.
In the course of his career, Mr. Staykov has structured, led and advised multi-phased capital campaigns in the aggregate of over $ 75 million.
