About
I am a European and Chartered Patent Attorney with over 10 years of experience at Dehns, one of the UK's leading private practice firms of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.
My clients know that they can rely on me to provide clear, commercially-focused advice and to handle all aspects of their patent portfolios.
I have extensive experience in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in Europe and overseas, including the US, Japan, China, India, Australia and Canada. My expertise also includes the preparation of patentability opinions, freedom to operate analyses and advice regarding patent filing and licensing strategies. I also regularly handle opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office.
My clients include start-ups, well-established SMEs and multinational corporations and I am sensitive to the individual needs of my divergent client base.
I specialise in the life sciences, particularly biotechnology, and areas of expertise include:
- stem cells
- antibodies
- RNA technologies such as siRNA and saRNA
- DNA technologies such as PCR-based methods
- therapeutic genes, proteins or peptides
- genetically manipulated microorganisms
- vaccines and adjuvants
I also handle patent applications relating to other drugs and therapeutic treatments, particularly in the cancer field, as well as a variety of other inventions, including the purification of blood products, animal feeds, shrimp processing and enzymes, and I equally welcome the opportunity to deal with inventions in other areas of the life sciences.
