Mr. Jackson began his career in heavy construction working as a scaffold carpenter in a shipyard in New Orleans. From there he became Field Safety, Labor and Human Resources manager for a small family owned corporation working in shipyards from Bath, ME to Tacoma, WA. After four years he became a Labor Relations Representative for the Morrison Knudsen shipyard (NASSCO) in San Diego and in rapid succession: Labor Relations and Human Resources Manager for Astoria Oil Services(building modules for the North Slope of Alaska); Senior Labor Relations Manager for Black River Constructors (building Ft. Drum, New York for the 10th Mountain Division); Associate Industrial Relations Director for Morrison-Knudsen; and Industrial Relations Director for M-K Ferguson. For the next seven years he was Labor Relations Manager for various McDermot groups. In 2001 he started Labor Relations Group Ltd, a consulting firm specializing in HR and Labor Relations. From 2008 to August 2011 he was Director of Industrial Relations for Kiewit Power. From July 2012 until the January 2015 he has been Employee and Labor Relations Counsel for BHI Energy and, thankfully back in the Construction arena. Since then he has concentrated on Mediation and Arbitration.
Specialties: South Carolina Certified Arbirator of Circut Court and Family Court matters and an accepted expert in Construction Labor Agreements and manpower projections. His negotiation history has over 50 instances of his appearing as first chair.
