About
Alvaro Ramirez Bonilla is the managing and founding partner of B&R Latin America, he has more than 15 years of experience working in intellectual property and international business law in Colombia, as well as throughout Latin America via an extensive network of associates.
B&R Latina was formed in 2007 as one entrepreneur’s response to several clearly identified gaps in the services being offered by traditional Latin American IP firms. While most firms have become experts in their particular countries, international companies often view Latin America from a regional perspective and require coverage in several major jurisdictions at once. As an established Colombian firm serving multinational companies since 1999, we spent 10 years developing key relationships with IP experts across Latin America. When we opened our US business in 2011, we began expanding those relationships until we are now able to offer one-stop-shopping for IP protection in the region.

ONE STOP SOLUTION
B&R is able to offer one-stop-shopping for IP protection in the region. We have negotiated prices that are well below the average because we provide our local contacts with consistent work, allowing us to charge an average fee of just USD500 for trademark registration in all countries. Our model streamlines the process for clients, allowing one point of contact and fewer updates. We utilize online software to manage cases and are constantly introducing new features to further simplify the process. Most of our clients use B&R Latina on a regional basis to handle their work across Latin America.
