About

I am an Intellectual Property lawyer with over 20 years experience gained in Britain, Ireland and Switzerland. I was called to the Irish Bar in July 1993 and then qualified as an Irish Trade Mark Attorney in 1994. I spent five years at a leading Patent and Trade Marks practice in Ireland and then moved to London in 1998, where I qualified as an English Solicitor and a UK Registered Trade Mark Attorney.

I have advised clients across a spectrum of sectors from food and fashion to information technology, media and pharmaceuticals. I have also written and spoken widely on a variety of Intellectual Property topics and played an active role in the leading Intellectual Property professional associations.

I am authorised to practice before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Union Trade Marks and Designs Office (OHIM), the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) and the Irish Patents Office.

Work history

My Private Practice experience was gained in Britain and Ireland and included working at senior level for leading London 'City' law firms. My in-house experience was gained while working for a large media corporation based out of Switzerland.
