Marnix background is industrial and civil engineering in chemistry. Having held positions within Procter and Gamble and Imperial Chemical Industries, Marnix started BiiP as a response to the need in a market of experienced business driven and integrated IP.
His 16 years background in IP matters and additional education in business and innovation management techniques combined with practical business experience forms the basis of the philosophy of BiiP.
Marnix is a 10 year qualified European patent attorney and has been exposed to all aspects of IP including designing IP strategies both offensive and defensive in Europe as well as in the US. Marnix has also a vast experience on due diligence matters such as in mergers and acquisitions.
Marnix lectures at Universities and Vlerick management school on innovation and R&D master classes and is author of several IP articles and publications. He is also an inventor on several patents and actively promotes IP as a business tool at conferences.
