Patent Granted Disclosed is a polychloroprene latex having extremely excellent adhesive properties. Also disclosed is a method for producing a polychloroprene latex, comprising polymerizing chloroprene, or chloroprene and a monomer copolymerizable with chloroprene in an aqueous medium to which a surfactant at a concentration below the critical micelle concentration (CMC) and a polymer dispersant composed of a metal salt of an aromatic sulfonate formalin condensate are added.
