Patent Granted A transistor is obtained in which a threshold value is adjusted by adjusting an impurity concentration of a silicon substrate supporting a SOI layer and by controlling the thickness of a buried insulating layer formed on a surface of the silicon substrate and contacted with the SOI layer.
