Patent Granted Disclosed is a shower plate which enables efficient plasma excitation, while completely preventing backflow of plasma. Specifically disclosed is a shower plate (105) which is arranged in a process chamber (102) of a plasma processing apparatus and comprises a plurality of gas discharging holes (113a) for discharging a plasma excitation gas for generating a plasma in the process chamber (102).
