Bisphenol compound recovery

Patent Pending PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method with which a bisphenol compound that is a raw material monomer can be recovered from an aromatic polycarbonate in high yield according to the method for easily controlling the reaction. ; SOLUTION: The method for recovering the bisphenol compound from the aromatic polycarbonate is characterized in that the aromatic polycarbonate is hydrolyzed in the presence of steam at >=0.005 to <0.315 g/cm<SP>3</SP>density at 270-450[deg.]C temperature under <22 MPa pressure.
