Diamide/Diamine

Patent Granted PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diamide compound and diamine compound from a diol compound using neither organic solvent nor a metal-based catalyst. ; SOLUTION: This method for producing the diamide compound and diamine compound is provided by using subcritical or supercritical water as reaction solvent, co-presenting the diol compound and a carboxylic acid ammonium salt and reacting them so as to be able to produce the diamide compound from the diol compound. By hydrolyzing the diamide compound, the diamine compound can be obtained.
