Patent Pending PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive permanent magnet which has well-balanced and excellent magnetic characteristics and high corrosion-resistant properties, and is formed of nitride sintered material. ; SOLUTION: The nitride permanent magnet is formed of sintered material and contains 95 to 70 wt.% Mn as a main component, 1 to 10 wt.% N, and 3 wt.% or above one or more elements selected from Fe, Zr, B, Ti, Si, Nb, Ni, Ta, Mg, and Al as accessory components, or contains 95 to 70 wt.% Fe as a main component, 1 to 10 wt.% N, and >=3 wt.% one kind or more among Mn, Zr, B, Ti, Si, Nb, Ni, Ta, Mg, and Al as accessory components.
