Patent Granted PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nonferrous based metallic glass alloy having a high amorphous ratio. SOLUTION: A metallic glass alloy is produced using a raw material having a composition comprising, by mass, 66 to 68% zirconium (Zr), 24.5 to 26.5% copper (Cu), 2.6 to 4.6% aluminum (Al) and 2.9 to 4.9% nickel (Ni) as the main component metals, and comprising one or more kinds selected from >10 to <2,000 ppm oxygen (O), >1 to <150 ppm hydrogen (H), >10 to <500 ppm nitrogen (N), >10 to <500 ppm carbon (C) and >1 to <500 ppm iron (Fe) as inevitable impurities; thus a nonferrous based metallic glass alloy having a high amorphous ratio can be obtained.
