Patent Granted Pentachlorophenol (PCP) is an organochlorine compound used as a pesticide and a disinfectant. First produced in the 1930s, it is marketed under many trade names.[1] It can be found in two forms: PCP itself or as the sodium salt of PCP, which dissolves easily in water.
