Vitreoscilla haemoglobin

Patent Granted Vitreoscilla haemoglobin (VHb) is a type of haemoglobin found in the Gram-negative aerobic bacterium, Vitreoscilla. It is the first haemoglobin discovered from bacteria, but unlike classic hemoglobin it is composed only of a single globin molecule.
