Patent Pending Dear Sirs, My brother and I own a patent for a carpenter pencil sharpener issued in Ukraine. Now we have only one patent for a utility model (valid for 10 years), but in a few months we expect to get a patent for the invention (valid for 20 years). About our patent: Our pencil sharpener allows you to keep the lead of the pencil in a rectangular shape. There are so many cone shaped pencil sharpeners for carpenter pencils, but they transform the rectangular shape of the lead into cone shape. Many carpenters and builders prefer to have a rectangular shape on the pencils lead, that is why they use a knife to get this shape. Today, only conical sharpeners are available on the market for sharpening carpenter's pencils. A conical sharpener leaves a very small pointed lead at the end of the pencil. After marking just a few lines, it has to be sharpened again. Such a sharpener cuts off more than 75% of the lead in the garbage when sharpened, but it is the lead in the pencil that the user needs. Millions of carpenter pencils are used every day in the world that need to be sharpened. But more than 75% of the leads from these pencils will go to the garbage. The user will be forced to buy a new pencil. Our sharpener keeps the lead rectangular in shape, which significantly reduces the frequency of its sharpening and increases the time of using the lead many times before the next sharpening. The main advantages of our sharpener: 1) Keeps the pencil lead in a rectangular shape and this, unlike cone sharpeners, which cut a larger amount of lead into shavings, extends the life of the lead. 2) Sharpens 4 types of pencils 3) Simplicity of design 4) Easy to assemble 5) Fast sharpening 6) Replaceable blades 7) Safe to use
