Is the UK Intellectual property tax box regime limited to profits made from patents? Under what circumstances could it be advisable to target tax relief under another EU country's IP tax box mode? To get a general idea of the subject, I would be grateful for any shared experiences.

The patent box is a very wide and pretty generous regime - most types of income that can be linked to a patent qualify for an adjustment which gets you to 10% corporate tax rather than the current headline 20%. As long as you have a profit margin of over 10% have developed the IP in group and meet a few more conditions. The calculation is very complex, which alongside putting together a convincing claim document, are the two hurdles to enjoying the regime. I can talk through claims if useful jos@gballp.com
