We are startup based in California. So far we are only a few co-founders and have not yet started generating revenue. There will be a pitch to investors in the near future and let's assume we will get seed-level investment.
So, the question is: what legal work do I need to prepare before the investment pitch? Should I register the company and incorporate it? Or I only need to register the name without necessarily incorporating it? Would the case of generating revenue make a difference on the legal work I talked about?
