Second employee in entrepreneurial/academic organization tasked with providing data and analysis on all U.S. intellectual property litigation. Built software systems for acquisition and machine-assisted case analysis, including a rules engine and a distributed multi-threaded PACER crawler. Spent a week in Wisconsin in the dead of winter with local volunteers and a scanner to collect court documents only available on paper.
The Clearinghouse was later spun out from the law school as Lex Machina, Inc., which is now a successful private company.
