Freightquote, Senior Principal UI Designer / Developer
As Principal UI Designer / Developer at Freightquote I have the opportunity to see many projects from inception to production all within the realm of what I like to call amazification development.
Responsibilities
- Define along side project managers and business analysts what needs to be done
- Designate a target release for both products and features through Jira
- Design next-gen user experiences on both legacy and upcoming products with the Adobe Suite
- Develop and enhance the presentation layer based on mock ups in HTML5, NodeJS, AngularJs, .Net4.5 MVC4, PHP, Wordpress, VBA etc. (based on project)
- Deploy code to repositories for Continuous Integration (CI)
- Learn proactively from my peers, pluralsight, and some good old fashioned Google Fu.
- Share what I have learned and give back to my peers
- Research current design and development practices to better hone my skill set with the bleeding edge.
