概要
I read law at the University of Bristol where I was awarded a bursary. My final year dissertation was on the WTO's Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs), where I analysed and dissected the advantages and disadvantages TRIPs brought to many developing nations.
On graduation, I pursued the Bar Vocational Course at the University of the West of England, Bristol where I was accredited with a Very Competent grade(known as VC) at the end of the course.
I then joined KASS International in 2006 after completing my pupilage at a well established law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In KASS, I handle domain name disputes and all aspects of trademarks in a variety of industries, including
those in the pharmaceuticals, foods & beverages and apparel industries. I handle local and international portfolios.
In 2007, I trained with a well-established IP firm in France under European Trademark Attorneys.
I have written articles for various local and overseas publications,including the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA), UK. magazine. My comments on case law in Malaysia have also been quoted in publications
abroad such as Managing Intellectual Property magazine, UK (a Euromoney Publication). I have also participated in and presented at several seminars and conferences
on intellectual property and related trade issues.
In 2010, I was recognised for my exceptional work in the IP field by Prestige Magazine (2010), where I made it into the Top 10 of "Malaysia's Top 40 under 40".
My first goal is to continue developing my knowledge and skills in the IP arena, so that clients and the KASS Team can benefit from the same. My second goal is to nail a full Marathon! Yet to hit that 42.2km!
