特許 係属中 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing, among foamed metals manufactured by a melting method, a foamed metal of iron, nickel, chromium, stainless steel, etc., having a melting point higher than that of an aluminum alloy. ; SOLUTION: A foamed metal can be manufactured by mixing a powder of a carbon-reducible metal oxide with a metal powder and a powder of a carbon source such as graphite and then heating the resultant powder mixture by rapid heating up to a temperature not lower than the solid-liquid coexisting temperature region.
