CampusWise was built by two Old Dominion University students in our dorm rooms in Spring and Fall 2014. By the end of our freshman year at ODU, we were both frustrated with the overpriced books sold everywhere, and were tired of spending hours searching through posts on Facebook trying to find other students selling the books we needed. We finally decided that there had to be a better way, and that's when CampusWise was born. By the end of our freshman year we had fully invested ourselves in making the site. We hope you find the site makes your textbook buying experience easier, because as college students, we already have enough to worry about.
We launched at ODU last semester and we couldn't believe the results. We had over 300 students sign-on, and together they bought over $1,300 in books and saved over $3,400 compared to what they would've paid at the university bookstore! Students told us about how much money they had saved, how much easier it was, and how much they appreciated that there was finally a better way for them to get their books. After an amazing response at ODU we're launching at many other universities and colleges for the Fall 2015 semester.
