Question
Hello everybody.
I would like to know: What kind of questions should we prepare for with regards to Intellectual Property, before meeting Angel Investors or VCs? We are a team of engineers/software developers specializing in virtual reality devices and software that connects IoT products/embedded systems with a VR interface.
Best regards,
Olivier

Hello Olivier - Financial professional like VCs focuses attention to the validity and availability of IP, and plus potential lawsuit (maybe their worst fear). So I think the following should be available in advance: about who is the applicant/assignee; whether your ownership is valid (if you're the current assignee); license agreement (its validity, contract period, royalty); how strong the IP could be in the market; and finally about potential lawsuit (eg. potential infringement, contract dispute). Thanks.
