Startup Foundation in EU/Switzerland

Question

Hi! We are team of three, spread out over Germany, Switzerland and Japan. We are looking to incorporate our startup either in Germany, Switzerland, or another country (preferably, I suppose, EU).

While we have some knowledge regarding company types available in the German-speaking jurisdictions, we have no overview regarding other countries. What would be the best option for us in terms of 1.) which country to incorporate in, and 2.) which type of company.

I guess it would be important that we have little red tape, small cost of incorporation and registration, and transparent tax regulations. We are also looking for a model that allows us to flexibly grow our team with other equity holders. Finally, the general structure should work well for investors.

I"m sure this is something a lot of other startups face. Is there a general trend which we should follow?
