How do you get customers to pay upfront in a B2B SaaS startup?

Question

We use annual contracts with month-to-month payments at an ACV of $1k-$100k. We intend to scale after series A. What incentives should we offer? Is there a way to get the entire contract value upfront or even a portion? What is the usual reaction of customers and what would be our best strategy to react? What are pitfalls?
