IP protection in outsourcing?

Question

When outsourcing development/engineering, what steps can I take to ensure IP ownership remains mine? What kind of contract would this require?

You would probably need at least some kind of a hybrid contract/agreement whereby anyone working on the development/engineering of your IP would effectively agree not to disclose anything to third parties, AND that they automatically assign/give up any of their rights to the development/engineering to you/your company.
