Question
We sometimes see other startup teams being able to close successful seed rounds, even without a minimum viable product. How do they do it? Product our prototype aside, what kind of setup, legal preparation and documentation do we need to successfully convince early investors?

Keep in mind that there are other factors such as founder history, domain expertise, and sunk sweat equity that go into what is backable. The seed documentation is well established with Series Seed, TechStars and Y-combinator all putting out model docs http://avc.com/2010/03/standardized-venture-funding-docs/
