Question
Hi there! We need to grow our team with software developers and other professionals. However, as a startup, our finances are limited. How can we make sure to get the best people aboard? What incentives can we offer? Would we have to offer equity?

It depends on what you are developing. If it is a marketable product or service you can offer a low base rate and some kind of revenue share on top of that. That can be a fee per number of downloads or use of the service. If you are developing another product with other professionals only the professionals that worked for it get some revenue share. In the case of equity the professionals would get revenue share for all your products or services and that is something you may want to avoid.
