Question
After it has apparently become illegal to process personal data from European customers in the US, what is the best strategy to go forward? We develop SaaS products and have a lot of European clients -- what should we do? How should we go to for advice?

This is a fast moving area that is developing as I type this response. As of today, the Article 29 Working Party recognizes Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) and Model Clauses as mechanisms for transferring personal data from the EU to the US. See http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/article-29/press-material/press-release/art29_press_material/2015/20151016_wp29_statement_on_schrems_judgement.pdf.
