Company name: trademark/copyright problem

Question

I want to start a business in the UK. My question is about the company name and its domain name. I want to register examplename.co, which is available. But there is another company that has registered examplename.co.uk and -.com. On the website they have their logo and a notice that the copyright is 'reserved'. I can't find a trademark registered on the UK intellectual property office website. If I now register the domain and the company name can I be sued for trademark or copyright violation?
