Question
What can/shall I say below a new website in terms of information protection, though not currently envisaging paying top dollar for formal copyright registration

Top Dollar? In the United States, you didn't say which jurisdiction you are in, it costs $35 to register a copyright. UPDATE: I reread your question and realize I didn't answer it. I don't know what jurisdiction you're in, but if it's the US, go to copyright.gov and look up "copyright notice." That will tell you what to do.
