product liability from 3D-printed objects

Question

Hi there! Thanks a lot for the great responses to our previous questions.

We are a startup from Boston. Our main product (in development) is a new technology to utilize handhelds and wearable devices for instant 3D Scanning of objects and optimizing for 3D Printing. We are developing several other projects related to 3D Printing as well.

If an end-user prints an object at home that she obtained either through our scanning software or via our sharing services, are we subject to product liability with regards to that object? If so, how can we minimize our risks?
