Question
Hello!
What are the advantages of filing as an S Corp vs an LLC? I have heard from a friend that an S Corp is a good option for startups, but I would like to know how it differs from an LLC. How do I choose which one is right for me?
Best, Marienne

Hi Marienne,
A corporate law attorney would be able to give you the best advice for your particular situation. However, if you will be seeking investors who may want an equity stake in exchange for their investment, you may want to consider a C-Corp as well so you can issue shares of stock. Best of luck to you and your business!
