what to avoid when choosing a name for our startup

Question

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are in the process of founding our startup company. We would like to pick a name to use as a brand and to identify our company. In picking a name, what are typical pitfalls we should avoid ?

Thank you very much

Any other similar tradename ... just search your local trademark registry. Think whether it is unique enough to remember and search for. And understand your customer whether the traditional straight tie or l33t hipsters.
