Patent Pending PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TMR element which can obtain a TMR ratio exceeding 200%, without dependency on manufacturing equipment. ; SOLUTION: Halfmetal layers 1, 2 are composed of Co<SB>2</SB>MnSi, and an insulating layer of an amorphous structure is used. Thus, the insulating layer of an amorphous structure is used whose productivity of a TMR element does not vary dependent on manufacturing equipment.
