Patent Granted Supercapacitor (SC),[1] formerly electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) or ultracapacitor, is the generic term for a family of electrochemical capacitors. As opposed to nanoscale dielectric capacitors[2] which also have high capacitance values, supercapacitors don't have a conventional solid dielectric.
