Patent Granted Hello, I am interested in selling my patent, which describes and outlines a mobile app called P.L.E.A.D. (Portable Legal Eye Advocating for Drivers), a software system working in conjunction and parallel with a vehicle-bound device providing vehicle-to-device (V2D) communication by continuously recording areas around and within a vehicle while driving and providing direct, real-time, on-the-fly audio-visual and/or textual telephonic contact with partnered licensed attorneys based on the driver's location. In the event of a law enforcement encounter on the road, an attorney appears on the PLEAD app and represents their client on location, mitigating any possible escalation and ensuring a peaceful and safe interaction between police and driver. The following are some features and benefits that would be offered and provided by PLEAD, as described in my patent: 1. Vehicle-to-device (V2D) communication by means of camera bound/attached to vehicle communicating with mobile app and pool of registered attorneys. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle-to-device for more information about V2D technology 2. Functionality which monitors and logs the driver's activities on a daily basis with settings in the app to control this feature, such as a camera which records and logs footage of exterior (posterior and anterior) positions, angles and viewpoints of the driver's vehicle and surroundings at all times while driving. The PLEAD system has a built-in camera feature that tracks the driver’s route, speed and maneuvers over an indefinite period of time. This evidence would prove critical in corroborating the driver’s claims during a traffic stop, and invaluable should the driver decide to take the alleged traffic infraction/violation to court. 3. Ability of the mobile app component of PLEAD to produce a certain time frame of logged footage and activities that the driver was undergoing leading up until the encounter and incident with law enforcement 4. Ability to send time-sensitive information such as relevant segments of stored and recorded footage and activity to a live attorney in real-time while the driver is pulled over 5. PLEAD would not require a monthly or yearly paid subscription; the app is FREE and the client PAYS ONLY WHEN AN ATTORNEY IS CONTACTED The PLEAD mobile app is fully patented and far superior to any similar app which potentially exists on the market. As far as PLEAD’s potential and future impact, that depends on several factors: Market Adoption: ⦁ If widely adopted, the invention outlined in my patent could help promote and advance equity and racial justice while enhancing driver safety and reducing racial profiling and police brutality with the provision of legal assistance in the face of law enforcement on the road. My app would also serve as a tool to provide strong, effective evidence to support the driver's case in a court of law. ⦁ This patent is likely to see more success through adoption by vehicle manufacturers that have more affordable vehicles (Toyota, Honda, or other), insurance companies (GEICO, State Farm, Progressive), investors, legal service providers, or the like. Should a vehicle manufacturer incorporate this invention in their cars, or should an insurance company incorporate this technology in their insurance plans, they would have a considerable edge over the competition. ⦁ Civil rights organizations ⦁ Civilian drivers of all backgrounds, especially minorities, who wish to ensure their safety on the road ⦁ Parents of teen drivers who wish to ensure their children’s safety on the road Technological Advancements: ⦁ As technology evolves, the patent's implementation is likely to improve. For example, integrating it with autonomous vehicles or real-time legal databases would likely significantly enhance its value.
