We are a startup company in US, and we'd like to enter market in Japan. What's the easiest way to open a business (corporate) bank account in Japan? We want to use online credit card payment service, and they require a bank account in Japan. We're doing online business, so we don't feel like opening a physical office in Japan for now.

It seems that one must have resident in Japan to open a bank account. I cannot guarantee the content therein is accurate and I cannot assume any legal responsibility in answering this question, though.
