Question
Hello!
We have a U.S.-registered Trademark. What is the cheapest way to expand TM protection internationally? We are looking into coverage in Europe, Canada, Australia. Do we have to file a new application in each country/region individually?
Thank you!

You may wish to pursue protection under OHIM in Europe as a Regional mark and compare those costs to obtaining a Madrid Protocol tm protection. If you are within six months of your initial US filing, you may also be able to obtain the benefit of the earlier registration. I strongly recommend that you consult a US trademark attorney to perform an international trademark clearance search for your mark. Good luck!
