Patent Granted A hair characteristics measuring device has a sensor device and movement means for moving the sensor device, wherein the sensor device is moved by the movement means to scan sample hair. The hair characteristics measuring device is characterized in that the movement means first performs a step of moving the sensor device to eliminate slack of the sample hair between the fixed end of the sample hair and the sensor device, stops it temporarily, and then performs a step of moving it at a speed suitable for taking out data on characteristics of the sample hair.
