Patent Pending A diagnostic imaging apparatus for medical use which comprises: a measurement section by which physical characteristic values are determined at two or more sites in a test sample; a memory section having a probability distribution function, which is a possibility distribution function indicating the frequency of a physical characteristic value for at least one biological tissue contained in the test sample and has been converted so as to make the frequency distribution of the physical characteristic value into the normal distribution, stored therein.
