Patient Evacuation Resource Classification (PERC) System

Patent Granted An automated decision support computer system based on data informatics, that incorporates the required resources to maintain a patient stable during transport from a facility during a disaster. This system identifies the most appropriate transportation resource available and the most appropriate bed in a coalition network. This system can switch benchmark profiles to guide decision-makers on the most effective use of scarce resources like a PCCT or ICU bed against a list of evacuating patients. PERCS provides visibility on inventory management and in house staff options to supplement lacking transportation or destination capabilities. This a real time situational awareness system that can be used by non-medical personnel in event of severe personnel shortages. As a consequence this has become the first quantitative method to establish a Certificate of Need.
