IP protection of games besides copyright

Question

Hi there

As previously mentioned, we are a game design startup based in Brisbane. I would like to know how we can protect the games we design as such, I mean besides our brand. I know that a game itself, including artwork etc. can be copyrighted, but is there a way for us to extend this protection?

Thanks!

Lawrence is right. If considering other forms of protection beyond trade marks and copyright, you need to question whether they add sufficient value to justify the costs. In rare cases registered design or patent protection may be useful.
