What to do if OHIM application is rejected

Question

I have submitted a trademark application to OHIM and I'm waiting for the results. What potential response could I get besides an approval/registration? If the application is rejected, what would be my next step? Or can I just forget about the trademark then? Thank you in advance

If your trademark is not registered, then OHIM (now EUIPO) would have rejected your application. The refusal could be based on formalities, absolute grounds, relative grounds (if a third party filed an opposition against your trademark application). In any case, you are able to appeal against the decision/refusal.
